Points of Interest
Since I am the guy with the camera, I realize that points of interest is a loaded statement. What may be interesting to me, may not be to you. My apologies there. |

| Not far from my apartment there was this building. My guess is that it was built in the art-deco times, maybe at the early edge of that era and probably was some excentric rich guy's townhome. Gargolyes, as we know them from cathedrals, had a purpose. They tell a story, they even may have a theme, but they were also rain spouts. In this case, they are just frivolous and entertaining decoration. I found the building interesting enough to take some pictures of the unique style and details. |

Next door was this lovely old monastery. |

The St Augustin Monastery has been here since 1576. I can imagine that it was sitting here in isolation, well away from the city. |
